Video Previews of #TomFeltonMeetstheSuperfans - Rupert Grint fans and Daniel Radcliffe on Obsession

As I'm sure all you Tom Felton Superfans are aware, Tom Felton's long awaited documentary from conventions and other fan events is to air tomorrow night. 

BBC3 have released some preview clips of the hour long feature which are now available below.

The first is of Tom Felton waiting (in terrible disguise) with Rupert Grint fans outside It's Only a Play earlier this year. This explains those photos of Tom in a wig!

The second is a snippit of Daniel Radcliffe talking about obsession.

The final clip features Rupert again, this time chatting about disguises.

The documentary will air on BBC3 Monday at 9pm before Bluestone 42 continues!

Moonwalkers Premieres in North America, Picked up, New Clips

Lots of great Moonwalkers news emerged in the last week. Not only did the film have its North American premiere but it also got picked up for release in USA. Further to this some first look clips emerged!

Rupert Grint and Robert Sheehan were among the guests for this year's SXSW festival (still ongoing) held annually in Austin, Texas. Left is one image of Rupert at the premiere (taken by Rob Sheehan) while more can be found in RG.US' gallery. Other Potter alumni at the fest included Domhnall Gleeson who was in town to promote his futuristic film Ex Machina. Thankfully the release of the film is not limited to the people who were lucky enough to grab tickets for the screening and has been picked up by Alchemy, formally known as Millenium Entertainment, for general release in America. Hopefully this will encourage European companies to pick up the film!

Rupert Grint: 'Postman Pat' hits UK Netflix, Ends his run on 'It's Only a Play', Tastemakers TV, Julie Walters: a life on screen

It a bit of good news, UK and Ireland users of Netflix can now watch Postman Pat voice-starring our new favourite singer Rupert Grint, free of charge.

In other Rupert news, his schedule suddenly got much free-er (let's hope he's taking it better than Potter ending for his sake, poor boo) as It's Only a Play changes it's line-up slightly for the remainder of it's run. Left you can see Rupert being given flowers my co-star Matthew Broderick as he bows out. 

Let's hope this means Enemy of Man is heading towards a-go?

Rupert.Grint.US are reporting that Rupert filmed an episode of Tastemakers TV while in the US. No word yet on when this will air. See an image of him filming here.

Rupert Grint and 'It's Only A Play' roundup

The last time I post about Rupert Grint's broadway debut it just about had a cast photo! Since then many new images and even a short clip have been revealed and the official opening night occurred last week on October 10th. 

Unfortunately the critics have been rather mean about the play saying that Nathan Lane carried the entire thing and the jokes weren't great, but regular audiences love it and want more tickets and that's the main point. Frankly, the clip released by CBS makes one wish it came closer to home. Check out the first look video of the play below with thanks to RGUS for posting:

UPDATED: Rupert Grint: First Image from It's Only a Play Uploaded Then Removed

News has not been that widespread considering our favourite ginger man of late, so we were very pleased to be informed that the first look at him in action in his Broadway debut It's Only a Play had emerged! Check it out left. A couple of fans also posted instagrams with the actor in NYC here and here.

Our source has since removed the photo claiming they were asked to by the production. We will repost it when we get the chance. In other It's Only a Play news, it has already grossed a whopping $5.5Mil in sales according to RG.US.

Rupert Grint: Donates Venetian Mask Design for Charity, Unbeatables Trailer, US Release Postman Pat

In other Rupert news,

Rupert has created a Venetian Mask for restaurant Daphne’s on behalf of their 50th anniversary. Other masks have been designed by Harry Styles, Dame Shirley Bassey, Lily Aldridge, Alice Temperley and many more. The masks will be on display at Daphne’s in July before being auctioned of to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

In other animation news, Postman Pat is to have a limited released in the U.S.A. New York and Los Angeles were to start showing the film from yesterday with no news of a wider release. The Unbeatables will be released in the US on January 16th, 2015.

Rupert Grint Wraps on Moonwalkers: Images from the Set and More, Signs up for It's Only a Play

It  was also announced that he was to play on Broadway as soon as this August! The play, running from August 28th and entitled It's Only a Play, co-stars Matthew Broderick and Megan Mullaly and tickets can be found on the website here. It's a comedy about Broadway and the plot is this:

It’s opening night of Peter Austin’s (Matthew Broderick) new play as he anxiously awaits to see if his show is a hit. With his career on the line, he shares his big First Night with his best friend, a television star (Nathan Lane), his fledgling producer (Megan Mullally), his erratic leading lady (Stockard Channing), his wunderkind director (Rupert Grint), an infamous drama critic (F. Murray Abraham), and a fresh-off-the-bus coat check attendant (Micah Stock) on his first night in Manhattan.

The marque, which is already in place, can be seen left.

Rupert Grint Attends Postman Pat London Premiere

This past early afternoon Rupert Grint attended the London World Premiere of Postman Pat: The Movie. We now have some photos in our gallery, as well as some from fans here, here, and here and are currently looking for video and other interviews. In the meantime, take a look at this very odd Daily Mail interview - hard to tell if it happened with the DM, but okay. Some quotes below.

What is your earliest memory?

My first birthday. I’m sitting in a pushchair, surrounded by lots of people. We’re at some kind of summer fête in a car park. I’m looking at a large birthday cake in the shape of a train and I’m watching my mum cut the first slice. I’m thinking, ‘Life is good.’

Tell us a secret about yourself.
I like to carve sculptures out of crayons. I started doing it to pass the time on the set of the Harry Potter films. Throw an idea at me and I’ll turn it into a crayon sculpture – anything from a baby squirrel to Harvey Keitel’s head. My favourites are busts of Shakespeare, Abraham Lincoln and Bill Murray. I’m about to do a Ronnie Corbett, which would require a smaller crayon.
Who would play you in a film of your life?
Eddie Murphy has got a good track record of playing multiple characters. He could play me, all my family and all my friends. It would be a Rupert Grint version of The Nutty Professor. It would be worth buying a ticket to see Eddie Murphy in a ginger wig.

Who do you most admire?
I’ve got a lot of time for Richard Dawkins. Just recently I finished reading The God Delusion and it struck a chord with me. I’ve got a bit of an obsession with religion and how it affects society. I went to a Catholic primary school and religion was fed to me quite aggressively. Now I’m a lot more curious and open-minded. 

What do you believe in?
I’ve always been fond of the expression, ‘You can’t polish a t**d, but you can roll one in glitter.’ That’s always made complete sense to me. There’s a lot of wisdom in those words.

Yesterday Rupert Grint was promoting his new animated movie Postman Pat, in which he plays Josh, on Radio One and Entertainment Week for Sky.

In the interview he spoke highly of Postman Pat:
'It was such an honor for me to be a part of Postman Pat'
and mentioned voice-acting was hard because there isn't much there to react to.
He also previewed his musical contribution to the film.

Rupert Grint: Foosball US Release Date, New Role in Moonwalkers, Starlight Ambassador

In Rupert film news,  his recently animated feature which was previously named Foosball and The Unbeatables, has been picked up by the Weinstein company and renamed Underdogs for a US release this summer. The date set is August 27th and "the film will have a wide release and AMC theaters already has it listed on their website."

In new projects, Rupert is to film Moonwalkers this May, before Enemy of Man (beginning shooting in August) . He will star alongside Ron Pearlman (and former Cherrybomb buddy Robert Sheehan) and the film will be made in Belgium. The synopsis is below:

July 1969, Tom Kidman (Ron Perlman aka Hellboy), a special agent of the CIA, was sent to London to find Stanley Kubrick and convince him to turn a fake moon landing in case the Apollo mission would fail. It is not Kubrick, but in his place, Jonny (Rupert Grint, aka Ron in Harry Potter), manager of a seedy rock band. Jonny is the bad dream Kidman. Kidman is the nightmare of Jonny. They have no choice but to work together to accomplish their mission, their lives and develop the biggest scam of all time.

I'm thinking this will split audiences.....but am glad work is picking up for our favourite redhead!

In other recent news, Rupert has become a celebrity ambassador for children's charity Starlight.

It was a great pleasure to help Starlight grant Callum’s wish before Christmas and I really look forward to doing more to support this wonderful charity. I have seen first hand just how much of an impact a Starlight Wish can have on a seriously ill child – it really makes a huge difference to them and their family – so I am delighted to become a Starlight Ambassador

Rupert recently visited art spot God's Own Junkyard in London and a picture of him with owner Chris Bracey's granddaughters is above left.

Below are the steps they've taken so far:
UPDATE EMAIL 1:

In early 2013 we banded together with a crazy dream to create an independent feature film of Macbeth. The first step was to produce a proof of concept short film - ‘The Instruments of Darkness’. Every one of the talented individuals involved, including all the cast and crew, gave up their time for free.

Made over 2 days and shot at Hedingham Castle and Lime Farm, the shoot was a baptism of fire but the enthusiasm was evident from day one. The team had the clear passion and belief in this being the start of the journey that will end in making ‘Enemy of Man’ a film that everyone could see and be proud of.

We’re so happy with the end result of the short film ‘The Instruments of Darkness’ – it’s a genuine companion piece to the feature film and yet works independently.
The footage from the short will only live in the teaser trailer and on the short film.If you enjoyed the trailer there is much more where that came from in the short film, with a running time of 8 minutes 30 seconds. We can’t wait to share it with you.(it comes with donations of $10 or more!)

They will be releasing some info about their actors and their roles and the first is Jason Flemyng who will be playing MacDuff!

Jason is known for his roles in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and X-Men First Class. He’s part of a fantastic generation of British talent, establishing himself as a regular film actor in the 90’s, whilst joining Royal Shakespeare Company. 

WHO IS MACDUFF
Macduff plays the rival to Macbeth’s character, leading a revolt to displace him as an unlawful King and put Malcolm on the throne, which rightfully belongs to him. Macduff also seeks revenge for the murder of his wife and son by the hands of Macbeth.(There is a short film of Jason talking about McDuff here!)
Macduff is the archetype of the avenging hero, not simply out for revenge but with a good and holy purpose – a fascinating character of whom Jason is sure to give a layered performance and we are incredibly fortunate to have him on board.

It's been over a week since the Whats On Stage Awards, but videos only stopped emerging late last week. In interviews on the red carpet, Rupert Grint spoke about his next steps in his career and what he thinks of J.K. Rowling's recent Ron/Hermione comments:

On the note of Rupert's future, the twitter for Macbeth reworking Enemy of Man has said a big announcement is coming this Friday! We'll tweet about it as soon as it comes in!

Dan Radcliffe also spoke about Rupert in his interview, saying he'd "love to" do a West End show with him but it would be crazy anytime soon. Have a look below:

We were live-tweeting as the news came in Sunday (from Rup's arrival to the boys reuniting), but here's the full rundown:

In other Dan news, he recently spoke with The Telegraph on Sunday about Frankenstein hair:

"I don't mind how it looks but I mind dealing with it. I don't know why any man would have it voluntarily," he laughed.

"The amount of work it takes, having to dry it - doing anything to it is a f------ nightmare. I do have a whole new sympathy for women. I wouldn't be growing my hair this long in my own time."

He added: "I actually don't mind it because there's something really fun about looking totally different and seeing yourself that way. But it's not a permanent change."

Rupert Grint and Animation: Postman Pat Trailer, Foosball Gets UK Release Date

Rupert has not just been making live-action movies of late, along with his foray into the West End 9which just ended Saturday) he has voiced some animated characters aswell.

Firstly, David Tennant Newssite have posted the trailer for Postman Pat the movie,which includes voice-acting from Rupert Grint aswell as Barty Crouch Jr actor David Tennant and Slughorn actor Jim Broadbent. All three play more minor roles, but the trailer is below:

The film is set for a May 23rd release.

In other voice-overs, Rupert voiced the lead character in the English-dubbed version of Foosball which was originally recorded in Spanish. The UK release will be renamed The Unbeatables and will be released on August 8, 2014.

In other Rupert news, Enemy of Man's official twitter announced last Thursday that they will be making a big announcement this week!

Tupert: Tom's Belle and In Secret Screenings, Rupert Talks Mojo with Lorainne/Guardian, Takes Part in WaterAid

In good Tom Felton news, his period drama Belle has helped open the Palm Springs festival this past Friday. His other period drama, In Secret, is also to play at the festival on 8th and 9th January:

Palm Springs Regal 9 – Wednesday, January 08, 7:30 PM and Thursday, January 09, 8:30 PM.

In Rupert Grint news, He and Mojo co-star Daniel Mays appeared on ITV'S Lorainne chatshow to talk about the play, which now runs til early February (only around 41 shows left).

In other December news, Rupert and his Mojo cast took part in a mock Live Aid music video for Water Aid and this video is now below. "See Rupert singing with the cast at 0:40 and dancing on stage at 4:10."

More recently, Rupert spoke to The Guardian about Mojo, Charlie Countryman, and his first forray into the hoodie in Lego House.
