Lots of the cast of Harry Potter are great participants in charitable activities, however the Phelps twins and Warwick Davis are some of the greatest.
James Phelps has tweeted about a tamborine he customised for a Birmingham charity, Sound it Out and posted a nice picture, left. James is very involved in all things Birmingham so this comes at no great suprise. There is no details as yet of how one can bid on this item, but we will keep you posted!
Leaky news have updated this story for us reporting that not only have the phelps customised the musical instruments for charity, but are joined by Potter alumni Robbie Coltrane, Emma Thompson and voice of the audiobooks Stephen Fry. They also gave us details of the auction;
"The tamperines will be auctioned on eBay May 16th through May 27th and they will be exhibited in Birmingham."
Will let you know as this story progresses.
Mugglenet reported earlier this week that Warwick Davis was calling on all party organisers,and people who just want to help out seriously ill children in getting their wishes, to get involved in Make a Wish's Go Gold campaign.
Warwick is quoted as saying;
"Make-A-Wish is a brilliant charity and I'm really excited to be involved with the Go Gold campaign. Getting sponsored to wear gold or organising a gold-themed event during May is a really simple way of supporting Make-A-Wish and something that the whole family can get involved with. I hope that everyone will join me in helping this fantastic charity."
You can get involved by registering at www.make-a-wish.org.uk or calling 01276 405060.
Matthew Lewis, Jessie Cave, Richard Griffiths and Robbie Coltrane are also trying to raise money for charity through Doodle Day. I posted the doodles on twitter with the important details here, here, here and here.

Hi! I'm coordinating the Sound It Out Tamperine scheme James has supported (along with other Harry Potter actors - Robbie Coltrane, Emma Thompson and audio book voice Stephen Fry). The tambourines will be auctioned on eBay between the 16-26 May and exhibited in Birmingham's Mailbox. Follow twitter.com/siotamperine to keep up to date with more news (and hopefully more Potter actor support)!
Hey Nicola, thanks for the heads up! If only i had read that before i got the news elsewhere later...
Hope the campaign goes well.
